Our name, I Just Want IT to Work isn't just a catchy phrase—it's the simple, honest promise at the heart of everything we do. Founded in 2025 by brothers Mathew and Daniel Willis, our company was born out of a shared frustration and a profound personal commitment to providing technology solutions that truly make a difference.
The Gap We Needed to Fill
We noticed a critical disconnect: the speed of technological innovation is moving faster than ever, yet the people who stand to benefit the most are often the ones being left behind. Assistive technology, smart homes, remote monitoring, and other solutions have incredible potential to enhance quality of life, but if the setup is complex, the interface is confusing, or the system crashes, all that potential vanishes.
For older Australians who wish to live safely and independently in their own homes for longer, complicated technology is a barrier, not a benefit. They don’t want to be tech experts; they just want user-friendly tech that works seamlessly and reliably.

Our mission is deeply personal. Technology offers substantial, life-changing benefits for all people, especially those families living with dementia or disability. Potential benefits range from improved safety to maintaining connection and routine.
Dementia is particularly close to us, as our own family has been profoundly impacted over several generations. We carry the memory of our great-grandmother, Olive, the deep love for our grandmother, Betty, and the ongoing journey of care for our father, Warren. Experiencing first hand the challenges dementia brings—the need for reliable support and the frustration with complicated tools—ignited our determination to simplify technology for every family facing a similar path.
